A tradition built on craftsmanship and development
The beginning in 1998
The history of HAMEFA began in 1998 as a small production branch of the Dutch company HAMEFA Furniture B.V., established with the support of a UNDP programme and the Mesta Business Centre in Razlog.
In the first few months, the team consisted of just five people. Production was small, but the attention to detail and quality were present from the very beginning. The first pieces of furniture, made from softwood, made their way to the Netherlands, one truckload per month.

From workshop to factory
Over time, HAMEFA has gradually established itself as an independent furniture manufacturer. The old brick factory in Razlog has been renovated and transformed into the home of the new production. Investments in machinery, technology park, and a qualified team have enabled the company to expand its capacity and undertake increasingly complex projects.
Thus, HAMEFA begins to establish its own unique identity in furniture manufacturing, combining classic woodworking, stable organisation, and continuous improvement.
Bulgarian company with international presence
Since 2007, HAMEFA has been a fully Bulgarian company. Over the years, the factory has established itself on both the domestic and international markets, thanks to the quality of its production, its wide range and the professionalism of its team.
HAMEFA's furniture reaches customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Spain, the USA, Canada and other markets. At the same time, the company continues to develop a strong presence in Bulgaria as well.
Technological development and new opportunities
HAMEFA's development has always been linked to investments in technology and production capacity. The factory processes solid wood, MDF, and veneers, and in 2013, it installed its own drying kilns to ensure optimal moisture content and stability of the wood.
In 2017, a metal profile processing workshop was added to the main activity, used for table bases and elements for cabinet furniture. This expands the factory's capabilities and allows for even greater freedom in implementing individual projects.
